Frequently Asked Questions
Cork Floor Rolls
Yes, Cork Floor Rolls pair well with hydronic heating systems, where warmth is gentle and gradual. We don’t recommend using them with electric underfloor heating, as sudden temperature shifts can stress the material.
Cork is naturally UV-resistant, but like all natural materials, it can lighten over time when exposed to direct sunlight. To keep its colour rich and warm, try using curtains or blinds in rooms with strong afternoon light.
A smooth, level base helps your Cork Floor Rolls shine. Uneven or rough subfloors can show through later, so it’s worth sanding or applying a leveling compound first.
Rule of thumb: the smoother, the better. And make sure it’s completely dry and clean before you start.
Cork Floor Rolls bring a natural softness and spring that’s unmatched by laminate, hardwood, or tile. They feel warm, forgiving, and wonderfully quiet underfoot.
Their insulating qualities help maintain a comfortable room temperature while softening unwanted noise, an everyday luxury.
Sustainably harvested and beautifully durable, Cork Floor Rolls are a conscious choice that’s as practical as it is elegant.
Cork has a little give, that’s part of its charm. It handles everyday furniture beautifully, though heavy, constant weight can leave an impression over time. We recommend adding felt pads or protective coasters under furniture legs to keep your floor looking its best.
Start by measuring your floor area to work out the total square metres. Then, allow a little extra, around 10%, to account for trimming and any installation offcuts. It’s always better to have a touch more than to come up short.
